SOLI transfers the knowledge for proper maintenance and operation by training the project manager and teams to operate all the systems that are included in each project. In SOLI's approach, management, training, extension and development are integrated basic components of the continuous need to introduce new high-level technologies to farmers. SOLI links very efficient post-harvesting systems like grading and sorting systems with cooling facilities, proper transportation and logistics management. When more sophisticated technologies are needed, SOLI provides high-level extension advisors for that purpose. According to SOLI's standards, transfer of technologies is done by well trained, equipped and motivated extension advisors. Israeli experience has shown that a good extension organization helps to improve their production, productivity and management.
